Who and What is a Moxiefied?

Yeah, me too…
Hi there! I’m Selene and I started Moxiefied, a content creation and copywriting service, to help creatives and creative entrepreneurs stand out in a sea of sameness.
Don’t get me wrong. I did it, too. I had the pretty website. The oh-so-professional words. But it felt, for me, so blah.*
That’s when I decided to scrap it all and start over! Surely it couldn’t be just me. There had to be others out there who wanted something different, too. A little somethin’ somethin’ to spice up their sites that also gets results.
So I decided to chuck it all, start over, and find my people.

*Again, for me. It works great for others and I couldn’t be happier for them.

First big girl job with The Dallas Morning News after college
Moved online
Worked at a big name online search company (not Google)
Went out on my own
Jumped ship and started freelancing full-time in 2007
And why Moxiefied?
Sure I thought about my name but Selene Benjamin is a little too long, it’s hard to fit in a site header, and nobody spells “Selene” right (thanks a lot Celine Dion).
Maybe a business name? But what?
Hello, too many too long brainstorming sessions + indecision. (It’s always harder when it’s for yourself.)
That’s when I remembered…
I’m a domain name hoarder! Why?

A name pops into my mind. I look for the domain. I buy it.
So off to check out what I already had and there it was: moxiefied dot com.
And that is how Moxiefied went from a random domain name I came up with in 2018 to my sparkly new writing business.
